Kestrel.
First up is my absolute favorite…the Kestrel Coat. Tagged as the perfect coat for brisk walks to school or a holiday soiree. The photo on the pattern is made up in a dark blue velvet, but would be equally perfect in one of our featherwale corduroys with a colorful Anna Maria Horner voile lining to make it fun! The back is fully gathered into a beautiful sweeping curve; the sleeves are full length and gathered just above the elbow; and the stand-up collar finishes as an integrated scarf with one side threaded through the other. This is truly a couture coat. There are so many unique details, I am constantly asking ”Charlotte” to draft it in an adult size! I want this for ME!
Eider Tunic.
Next up is the Eider Tunic. This is a wonderful top/tunic for holiday parties! This top cinches at the waist with a ribbon tie and hits mid-thigh, making it ideal to wear with leggings or colorful tights. And again…more unique degails…the front yoke is made up of pintucks with the pintuck detailing echoed at the wrist. It can be made dressy by using one fabric, or more playful using two coordinating fabrics.
Raven.
Raven Hoodie & Pants are just too cool for school. A great straight-leg pants pattern with a fully adjustable waistband! What could be better!! Make them in every color twill we have (that’s 5 pairs of pants right there!) as well as the featherwale corduroy with a ribbon trim (there are 6 more!); and – possibly the coolest of all – make them out of one of our Scottish tartan plaids! Insanely cute! The reversible…REVERSIBLE!!!!!…hoodie has a generous hood, kimono-style demi-sleeves and a simple tie at the waist.
Chickadee dee dee.
Chickadee Blouse and Skirt
The long-sleeved Chickadee Blouse has a rounded, off-set collar and an asymmetrical front pleat that complements the lines of the faux-wrap Chickadee Skirt (so no blowing open when the wind blows! – a bonus for those of us living in Cleveland!). The top of the blouse is lined and has a split opening at the left front neckline that is secured by a single button. The skirt is fully lined and, again, features the adjustable elastic waistband.
