"Patchwork is most often made from a variety of fabrics. The color combinations that one sees are often inspired by things we observe in our everyday life. It might be from tiles in a showroom or an outfit that someone is wearing.

"My favorite bluish-gray color is what my mind's eye sees at twilight when visiting Scandinavia. Sweden, and the Nordic region, is one of my favorite places to visit. I am drawn to the local colors and the clean and simple designs. Perhaps I am also fascinated with the myriad of handmade items depicting the culture and nature of the land by those living there.
