Recommended Fabric
Main (woven) - mid to heavy weight wovens, such as suiting or tweed. Lightweight coating also suitable. Avoid fabrics with a very smooth surface like gabardine, as they will likely shine when pressed.
Main (stretch) - mid to heavy weight knit fabric such as stable ponte, or mid-weight stretch wovens such as stretch suiting
Lining (body) - if using a woven, use a lightweight woven lining such as bemberg rayon or crepe de chine. If using a stretch woven or ponte, use a slick knit for the lining.
Lining (sleeves) - light weight woven lining for both stretch and non-stretch blazers
Interfacing - mid weight fusible weft interfacing and mid-weight knit fusible interfacing. Optional : use heavier weight interfacing for pocket welt; fusible horsehair can be used for chest shield interfacing for extra structure.
