Green Pepper Dog Coat Pattern

Use this sewing pattern to keep your dog comfortable and safe in this cozy coat with reflective tape for night time visibility.  Velcro closes the chest and belt straps and allows for adjustability.  Add optional pockets to the sides.  Make it with a contrast collar and opening for a leash.  Add reflective tape on the pockets or side of coat.  Use waterproof fabric for a raincoat, or warm fabric for a winter coat; use high visibility fabric for traffic or hunting safety.  There are lots of options for your pup with this easy and quick pattern!

Suggested Fabrics:
Outer: Waterproof raincoat: nylon rip-stop or oil cloth/dry oil cloth; warm coat: wool, canvas, denim, or any light to medium weight fabric.
Lining:  Light to heavy woven, quilted, or fleece fabric.

Notions: 
Polyester thread, 1/4 yd (23cm) 2" (5cm) velcro hook and loop, 3/4 yd (68.5cm) 1" (2.5cm) reflective tape.
For optional side pockets: 1/8 yd (11.5cm) 3/4" (2cm) velcro hook and loop.
