Based on a tiny, hand-painted border design discovered in the Liberty archive, Ziggy Daisy was reimagined into a checkered grid layout, composed of a simplified daisy motif. This print is part of The Audience act of Retold, celebrating the characterful and lively Liberty shopper, from Oscar Wilde in the 19th century to the artists, writers, musicians, rock legends, models and actors that have flocked to Regent Street since – our discerning audience is one of Liberty’s most inspiring muses for SS25.
For Spring Summer 2025, you are cordially invited to join Liberty Fabrics as we raise the curtain on Retold, a 150-year anniversary theatrical spectacular. Divided into four acts - The Stage, The Cast, The Audience, The Next Act – this collection goes behind scenes of the iconic Tudor building and into the eclectic emporium where our story is retold. Crafted from two timber ships, the Liberty flagship forms the perfect stage to welcome this play’s cast of influential characters who have paved the way for an array of artistic movements. Dressed to entice and delight its viewers, from music legends and models to writers and actors, Liberty’s customers are our most inspiring muse. Whoever steps through the elaborate façade is taken on an extraordinary journey of magic, mystery, and charm. Finally, as we move onto the next act, a new generation of designers begin to experiment with the boundaries of technology and art.
Printing takes place at the Liberty mill in northern Italy, which uses both innovative digital technology and age-old techniques. From signature, obsessively fine-tuned Tana Lawn™ cotton and luxurious silk to lightweight linen and sustainable bases, Liberty fabrics are brilliant canvases for bespoke creations of all kinds, offering brands and garments an authority on quality and style.
