Liberty Fabrics Tana Lawn - Whimsy B

Whimsy was based on a small fragment of a printed impression, discovered in the Liberty archive and dating back to the early to mid-19th century. Its intricate motifs wind along circular trails, adorned with chintz-style flowers among tiny leaves and berries. The design’s mesmerizing movement and historic charm conjures the romance of a trailing garden, alive with nature’s quiet wonders. This print is part of the first chapter in this collection, Story Garden, which explores the narratives that are woven in and around cultivated botanical spaces, taking inspiration from historic pleasure grounds and wartime victory gardens - highlighting humanity’s necessity for community and finding solace through nature.

Autumn/Winter 2026 "Design Nature Art" defines the very DNA of Liberty where design, nature, and art intertwine. Rooted in the rhythms of the natural world, this collection draws inspiration from the cycles of the seasons, mirroring the ever-evolving landscape of fashion. Just as a gardener cultivates their garden in preparation for the seasons ahead, Design Nature Art by Liberty Fabrics honors the quiet transformations that unfold with time. Curated through three distinct chapters: Story Garden, Gallery Garden, and Painted Garden, this series celebrates the profound connection between creativity and the cultivated world where history, imagination, and artistic expression bloom in unison.

Printing takes place at the Liberty mill in northern Italy, which uses both innovative digital technology and age-old techniques. From signature, obsessively fine-tuned Tana Lawn™ cotton and luxurious silk to lightweight linen and sustainable bases, Liberty fabrics are brilliant canvases for bespoke creations of all kinds, offering brands and garments an authority on quality and style.
