Private Sewing Lesson with Nan

Sewing lessons are $40/hour. Minimum age is 8 years old AND have the ability to read, measure and use scissors well. We have Bernina sewing machines at our shop for use, or you may bring your own machine. 

Lessons are student-driven and usually project-based, but can be focused entirely on techniques. It's private, so it's up to you!

Please note: Once you have booked and paid for online for your lesson, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. You will also receive an e-mail reminder 24 hours in advance of your lesson. Cancellations need to be made 12 hours in advance for a full refund.

Hi I'm Nan, founder and owner of Bolt & Spool. I've been sewing for more that 45 years and mostly enjoy sewing clothes. I am self-taught and love experimenting with pattern hacking. I enjoy teaching one-on-one as well as small groups with a project-focused approach. Beginning sewing (especially kids!), hand embroidery, cross stitch, sashiko, and needle felting are my specialties.
