Liberty of London Picadilly Poplin - Anthology A
Anthology was originally designed in 1965 – first named Posy, it was printed at Liberty’s Merton works. The outlined rose pattern offers a classic example of the Liberty ditsy, referencing both ’30s block prints and ’60s screen prints.
Piccadilly poplin is a fine cotton fabric characterised by its closely-woven single 60s threads, combining durability with sleek, lightly sheened elegance. Printed by the experts at Liberty’s own Italian mill, our poplin is ideally suited to structured garment shapes. Try a gathered or fluted take on a classic shirt design, or get experimental with different dress silhouettes. Poplin is machine washable and durable enough for daily wear.
Liberty Fabrics’ English Eccentrics collection for Spring/Summer 2019 draws inspiration from seven eclectic home-grown muses, spanning across a range of creative genres and historical periods. From a decadent prince regent to a pioneering botanist, an aristocratic poet and gardener, a carefree ‘60s musician, a contemporary artist, an activist-slash-actress and a beloved children’s author, our diverse collection of muses each reflect the adventurous and disruptive spirit of Liberty.
