We carry only the finest fabrics, ribbons, patterns, maker kits and notions. We host classes and stitch parties for sewists of all kinds. Our goal is to make your sewing project the most special it can be, and fun from start to finish.
Nan Webb, Founder
Nan began sewing at the young age of 8. Her love for pattern design, texture, and all things uncommonly beautiful inspired her to open up her historic Murray Hill Road boutique in Cleveland’s Little Italy neighborhood in 2010. The storefront is a space where sewists of all levels can feel welcomed, comfortable and inspired. Nan is equally comfortable with needle and thread as she is with a golf club, trowel, or bike handle in hand. Merging her passions with a degree in journalism from Ohio University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve have established a thriving business that is nourishing sewing and crafting communities from Cleveland and abroad.
Debbie Christensen, Store Manager
Debbie has been spending her days at Bolt & Spool for nearly a decade. Quick with needle and thread, she is an expert in fabric and pattern recommendations. She holds a degree in textiles from the Cleveland Institute of Art, and can burn just about any fabric to tell its content. Her all-around passion in making drives her love for the industry. Her appreciation for craft is unmatched. Need a pizza with sourdough crust? Homemade honey? How about building a rain garden, tile and grout work, weaving, pottery? Wanna stuff a jackalope? Debbie is your gal.
