Flat shank needles for use in a home sewing machine.

Heavy needles with modified medium ball point and reinforced blade. For use in denim and similar fabrics, such as canvas and heavy twill. Also good for penetrating multiple layers of fabric, such as in quilting or bagmaking. Needle is designed for minimum needle deflection, reduced risk of needle breakage and skipped stitches.

Package contains five, appropriate for heavier fabric and thread. In general, the finer the thread and the finer the fabric that is being sewn, the finer the needle should be.

Chrome Needles : These are Schmetz's chrome coated, professional grade needles that resist heat and wear. The needle stays cooler with less stitch distortion as thread passes through the eye with less resistance than normal needles.

Gold Needles : The SCHMETZ Denim Gold Needle has a Titanium Nitride coating. The wear protection coating is significantly harder than the standard coating and ensures an extra-long needle life. The medium rounded point and special blade are beneficial when working with thick fabrics such as denim, oilskin or canvas. Performs effortlessly on coarse and dense fabrics.
