Curated through three distinct chapters: Story Garden, Gallery Garden, and Painted Garden, this series celebrates the profound connection between creativity and the cultivated world where history, imagination, and artistic expression bloom in unison.

Enhancing its impact through a larger scale iteration, Katie’s Bouquet draws inspiration from Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant’s interior decoration at Charleston House. This expressive botanical embodies the free-spirited essence of the Bloomsbury style. Hand-painted in flat gouache, its bold brushstrokes and sweeping marks create a sense of movement and spontaneity. Showcasing classic English country blooms – roses, poppies, and wild foliage – echoing the gardens of Charleston House, all arranged in a lively multidirectional repeat. This print is part of the third chapter in this collection, Painted Garden, which explores the vibrant fusion of colour, pattern, and texture discovered in the process of studying artists who took inspiration from their own cultivated garden landscape – capturing the complex relationship between nature and creativity.
