Wardrobe by Me : Love Yourself Hipster Underpants

The Love Yourself Hipster is a full cover boy cut hipster carefully constructed to not crawl into the bum. The pattern has three rise options as well as two crotch widths. Finish the waistline and leg openings with lace elastic, FOE, or fabric bands.  You decide the waist height, crotch width, and leg opening according to your anatomy and preference.

Skill Level 1/4 - You are new to sewing. You have tried, or want to try using fold-over elastic or lace elastic.

Recommended Fabric
Choose a single jersey with stretch. The thickness of the material will affect the final fit. Size down with thinner material. Finish the edges with either elastic lace, FOE or fabric bands. 

Use lightweight single jersey fabric with at least 3-6% lycra or elastane. Choose jersey fabric in cotton, rayon, bamboo, silk, or modal (Debbie prefers lightweight wool).

Use foldover elastic or lace (picot) elastic for the waistline and leg openings.

Fabric Requirements
Fabric 60" wide : 1/2 - 3/4 yd

Elastic : 2 - 2 1/2 yd (sizes 0 - 12); 3 - 3 1/4 yd (sizes 14 - 24)
